An essay: for and against - Topics

Chosse one of these statements and write your essay:
- Secondary schools should start later in the morning.
- Interest in elections has been dropping for years. It's now time for compulsory voting.
- Is graffiti art or vandalism?
- Zoos are not something we need in the 21st century.
- Athletes who take drugs to improve their performance should be disqualified for life.


Follow the same steps as you did in class:
1. Write your lists of advantages and disadvantages or arguments for and against the statement you chose.
2. Check the ideas are not repeated and make sure they don't overlap.
3. Avoid using two sides of the same argument both as an advantage AND a disadvantage.  
4. Choose the three main arguments for and against the statement.
5. Write your article in 190-220 words
